As we progress through the school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the wonderful opportunities and programs that Ferndale Unified School District offers our students and community.
At Ferndale Elementary School, our dedicated staff works tirelessly to create a nurturing and engaging environment for all students. We provide a well-rounded education that not only focuses on academic excellence but also emphasizes the importance of social-emotional learning and character development. Our educators are committed to fostering a love of learning, creativity, and critical thinking skills that are essential for our students' future success.
The district has demonstrated its commitment to academic success through our notable academic growth in our CAASPP scores, our ongoing efforts to reduce chronic absenteeism, and our implementation of weekly social-emotional surveys to monitor students' mental health. These initiatives reflect our dedication to ensuring that every student has the support they need to excel both academically and personally.
In addition to our strong academic programs, we are proud to offer a variety of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, and clubs, which enhance our students' educational experience. These programs encourage teamwork, leadership, and self-expression while allowing students to explore their interests and talents outside the classroom.
