Weekly Announcements and District Updates

Good afternoon, Ferndale Unified families,

Attached are this week’s announcements, our September Board Report, and a press release sharing some exciting news: Ferndale Unified School District has secured more than $2.2 million in additional state facility funding for two new classrooms at Ferndale Elementary School.
This was a highly competitive grant, and Ferndale was one of only 13 applicants statewide selected to receive funding. We are continuing to work hard to bring as much funding as possible from Sacramento back to Ferndale to improve our schools and reduce the burden on local taxpayers.

Because we are only entering our third week of school, the September Board Report focuses primarily on districtwide updates and the work completed to prepare for the new school year. The October Board Report will include updates directly from our teachers and departments about the learning, activities, and programs happening across our schools.
