  1. There is a scholarship available for any grade level student. The Justin Scott Keele memorial Fund Grant offers grants from $200 – $2,000.  This is a student-led, charitable project to help relieve the hardships of an individual.  See Ms. Banke for an application or if you have questions.
  2. Do you want to send a Crush to your crush? ASB is selling Crush Sodas for $3.00 or Crush soda and a rose for $5.00 for Valentine’s Day.  They will be delivered in class on Friday, February 14th.  To make an order, pick up the order form in the office and return it with payment to the drop box in the office.  Any questions see an ASB officer.
  3. If you would like volunteer hours and to gain hands on experience working in an Art Museum you could be a Volunteer Teen Ambassador. You would be doing behind the scenes stuff at the museum like learning how to hang artwork, assist with special events and how to develop education curricula.  If you are interested please apply at humboldtarts.org/volunteer
  4. Seniors: Yearbook needs goals and goal pictures from the following students:  Hunter Bell, Tristen Martin, Putter Walters and Kurtis Johnson.  If you have any questions, see Angie Chavez or Mr. Chiles.
  5. The Coast Guard will be here on Friday, February 7th at lunch with an information booth for anyone who is interested. Stop by and check it out!
  6. Blood Drive: The next blood drive will be on Thursday, February 6th.  If you are 16 years old or older, you may donate blood.  16 year olds need to have a permission slip in order to donate.  Sign-up sheet and permission slips are in the office.  Seniors who are wanting a red cord for graduation, time is running out so be sure to give blood this time!  See Bri Rimmey if you have any questions.
  7. SPRING SPORTS: Sign-ups are in the office for Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Golf and Track.  If you are interested in any of these sports, please sign up in the office.
  8. Semi-Formal Dance will be TOMORROW from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. at the Red Barn at the Fairgrounds. Tickets are $25 for couples and $15 for singles.  You can buy tickets from Mrs. Alexandre or Savannah Lenardo.  Any questions see Mrs. Alexandre.
  9. Sandi Petersen will be taking pictures before the Semi Formal tomorrow from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. @ her studio at 929 Milton Ave. #2D in Ferndale. $25 per person includes solo shots and free group shots.
  10. Southern Oregon University invites you to their free open house event TOMORROWfrom 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Eureka. Drop in and find out what Southern Oregon University has to offer.  SOU representatives will be present to answer questions and discuss topics like Academic Programs, Admissions Process, Financial Aid and Campus Life & Housing.  If you have any questions, see Ms. Banke.
  11. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the FBI the San Francisco FBI Teen Academy may be the thing for you!! FBI Teen Academy are encouraging any interested juniors and seniors to the campus of Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are interested, please see Ms. Banke.
