Happy birthday on Sunday to Maddy Beddow and on Monday to Derek Griffith!!

 

  1. This weekend will be a 3 day weekend!! There will be no school on Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
  2. For those of you who ride the bus home, there will not be a bus today at 12:30. If you don’t have a ride home the bus will come by at 3:15.
  3. Blood Drive: The next blood drive will be on Thursday, February 6th.  If you are 16 years old or older, you may donate blood.  16 year olds need to have a permission slip in order to donate.  Sign up sheet and permission slips are in the office.  Seniors who are wanting a red cord for graduation, time is running out so be sure to give blood this time!!  See Bri Rimmey if you have any questions.
  4. SPRING SPORTS: Sign ups are in the office for Baseball, Softball, Tennis, Golf and Track.  If you are interested in any of these sports, please sign up in the office.
  5. Semi Formal Dance will be next Saturday, January 25th from 8:00 – 11:00 p.m. at the Red Barn at the Fairgrounds. Tickets are $25 for couples and $15 for singles.  You can buy tickets from Mrs. Alexandre or Savannah Lenardo.  Any questions see Mrs. Alexandre.
  6. Sandi Petersen will be taking pictures before the Semi Formal on January 25th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. @ her studio at 929 Milton Ave. #2D in Fortuna. $25 per person includes solo shots and free group shots.
  7. Southern Oregon University invites you to their free open house event on Saturday, January 25th from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the Holiday Inn & Suites in Eureka.  Drop in and find out what Southern Oregon University has to offer.  SOU representatives will be present to answer questions and discuss topics like Academic Programs, Admissions Process, Financial Aid and Campus Life & Housing.  If you have any questions, see Ms. Banke.
  8. Senior Girls: Scholarship Opportunity: The Kathleen McVey Memorial Youth  Citizenship award.  $1,000, due TODAY!!  See Ms. Banke for the application.
  9. If you are planning on playing baseball this spring, please sign up in the office.
  10. If you are interested in pursuing a career in the FBI the San Francisco FBI Teen Academy may be the thing for you!! FBI Teen Academy are encouraging any interested juniors and seniors to the campus of Santa Clara University in Santa Clara, CA on Thursday, March 5, 2020 from 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If you are interested please see Ms. Banke.
  11. Seniors: New Humboldt Area Foundation Scholarships:  Ms. Banke will be taking some scholarships in to Financial Management this week.  They are due this month. 
  12. Seniors: The yearbook needs the following things from you! They needed them yesterday so get them in ASAP!!  Senior Picture:  Elizabeth Boak, Joe Genzoli and Tristen Martin. Senior Quote: Nathan Bramlett, Angie Chavez and Joe Genzoli.  Baby Picture: Orion Benton, Elizabeth Boak, Trevor Christensen, Joe Genzoli and Madeline Michel.  Please see Mr. Chiles today to let him know when you will get it to him.
  13. Teachers: The portal is open and will close on Wednesday, January 22nd.
