Happy birthday today to Orion Benton!!


  1. Congratulations to Derek Griffith for winning the gift card for bringing in canned goods. You are still able to bring in cans for the Food for People canned food drive.  All canned goods must be in by next Tuesday, December 10th.
  2. December 16th tough 20th there will be holiday dress up days. Dress up schedule is on the bottom.
  3. Fall Sports Award Banquet will be held tonight @ 7:00 p.m. in the gym. Each family is asked to bring a small tray of cookies or cupcakes for all to share.  Booster Club will provide water, coffee and milk.
  4. Kenton Chambers will be giving a presentation on Lineman School today during 6th period in Mrs. Becker’s room. If you are interested in going to this presentation please sign up in the office.
  5. Scholarship Opportunity: Seniors with a grade point average of 2.0 or better can apply for this $1,000 Scholarship from the California Association of Educational Office Professionals.  It is a tuition only scholarship so you must be going to a 2 or 4 year school to qualify.  Application must be postmarked by December 20th.  See Ms. Banke for application.
  6. Senior Girls: Scholarship Opportunity: The Kathleen McVey Memorial Youth  Citizenship award.  $1,000, due January 17, 2020.  See Ms. Banke for the application.
  7. Picture Retake day will be next Tuesday, December 10th. Picture packets will be available soon.
  8. If you are doing or have done any community services hours, please come and get a form from Kristy to fill out and turn back in. Community Service hours are very important when it comes time to apply for colleges and scholarships so start early and get some community service hours in now!!  See Kristy if you have questions.
  9. Seniors going to Humboldt State next year, the HSU scholarship site is up and ready for you to apply!! See Ms. Banke for more info.
  10. Seniors: Tri Counties Bank scholarships awards scholarships of up to $1,500 to students attending a 4 year college and up to $1,000 for those attending community college. Awards will be made to talented high school seniors who demonstrate a keen interest community service and business entrepreneurship.  For more information, please visit shastarcf.org/scholarships.  Application Deadline is March 11, 2020.
  11. Teachers: Portal is open. It will close this Wednesday, December 4th.
