  1. Next Monday, November 11th there will be no school in observance of Veteran’s Day. Enjoy your three day weekend!!
  2. There will be a Leo Club meeting at lunch today in Mr. Chiles Classroom.
  3. Girls and Boys Basketball has started for those who are not still playing a Fall Sport. Girls will practice all week from 4:00 – 6:00  Boys will have open gym all week from 6:00 – 8:00.
  4. Hunter Safety Class: For those who signed up for the Hunter Safety Class and those who would still like to take the course, class has started and will go throughout the week (November 4th – 8th) @ lunch in the Shop.  Grab your lunch from the Foods Room or pack one and meet in the shop so we can knock this out.  Any questions, see Mr. O’Day.
  5. Class treasurers: Please turn in your money and receipt books to Kristy in the office. 
  6. Sixt will be awarding 5 students nationwide $5,000 towards their study at any 2 or 4 year course at an accredited University.  To find out more about the scholarship please check out the following website:
  7. If you are planning on playing basketball and didn’t play a Fall Sport, you need to have your physical, sports packet and concussion test done and turned in to Mrs. McDonald before you can practice. So get them done now!! Any questions see Mrs. McDonald.
  8. Humboldt County Teen Court (a program of the Boys & Girls Club) is hosting a training for new teen volunteers in 8th – 12th grades on Thursday, November 14th from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. at the Teen Center on the corner of K and Harris Streets in Eureka. Please RSVP if you are interested.  Teen Court is a real court administered by teens for teens who have chosen to have their cases heard by their peers.  Student volunteers serve in the courtroom as jurors, attorneys and other positions.  Volunteers earn community service hours, help give other teens a second chance and learn new skills.  For more information contact 707-444-0153 or
