  1. Yearbooks are now on sale!! If you would like to purchase your yearbook for the early bird price of $55 you can do so now in the office.  Prices will go up to $65 after Spring Break.  If you have any questions, see Mr. Chiles.
  2. Leo Club meeting today at lunch in Mr. Chiles room.
  3. Prom exchange party at Fortuna High!! Once again you are invited to the prom exchange party @ Fortuna High School on Wednesday and Thursday March 13th & 14th from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m.  If you are looking for a prom dress and can’t afford to buy one this is the party you need to be at!  There will be prizes such as dinners for 2, tux rentals, boutonnieres, corsages and more!  Also, if you have a gently used prom dress you would like to donate, drop it off here in the office by Tuesday, March 12th.  If you have any questions email rheavilin@fuhsdistrict.net or call Fortuna High School at 725-4461.
  4. On March 29th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m there will be a very special night that is being planned for the Ferndale School Community at the Belotti Hall. The Multicultural Festival is an event that celebrates the many cultures, traditions, food, song, dance and people of our community. The event includes the entire Ferndale Community and is intended to showcase the many cultures of the students here at the Ferndale Unified School District. We are looking for families to participate and sign up to bring a food dish to share that represents their culture, create a visual display, or participate in a music/dance performance. Applications need to be returned to the school no later than March 15th . This event is open to families in ALL grades! If you would like an application or have any questions, see Ms. Banke.
  5. Latino Family College Night – March 11th @ Arcata High School from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Spanish speaking families are encouraged to attend.  There will be a variety of guest speakers.  Any questions see Ms. Banke or Mrs. Giacone.
  6. Seniors: New Scholarships:

      *Humboldt Lodge #79 – all graduating Humboldt, Trinity and Del Norte

      Seniors can apply!  They will be giving out five $1,000 scholarships.  For

*Eureka Emblem Club no. 298 application is in the scholarship box.  $1,000 scholarship due April 15th

*California Women In Timber – must have at least a 2.5 GPA, must be going to College of the Redwoods or Humboldt State University studying in forestry or a natural resources related field at a college or university in the state of California. Applications must be postmarked by March 15th

*Redwood Region Logging Conference Scholarship App. in box or online at www.rrlc.net  due April 1st

*Redwood Region Logging Conference Diesel Mechanic & Heavy Equipment Operator Scholarship App. in box or online at www.rrlc.net due April 1st

*Humboldt County Junior Livestock Auction Scholarship App. in box or online at www.humboldtcountyfarmbureau.com due April 1st

*Coast Central Credit Union Scholarship – $5,000 for four years.  Must attend HSU, Shasta or Chico State and need to at least have a C average.  Deadline is March 14th.

*Humboldt County Junior Livestock Scholarship – you must have sold an animal at least 3 times at the Humboldt County Fair – due April 1st

*Redwood Choast Chapter-CA Deer Assn. – To a student seeking a career in AG, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, Vet. Science or Wildlife Law Enforcement. Must have at least a 3.0 CPA – Due April 5th
