  1. Come support your Lady Cats in their first playoff game tonight @ 7:00 p.m. vs. Potter Valley. ASB will be having a half time free throw contest!!  Wear Red & White to support our Wildcats!! #GoCats
  2. If you received a letter in the mail saying that you qualify for CSF, please pay your dues in the office. Dues are $5 and due March 1st.
  3. On March 29th from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m there will be a very special night that is being planned for the Ferndale School Community at the Belotti Hall. The Multicultural Festival is an event that celebrates the many cultures, traditions, food, song, dance and people of our community. The event includes the entire Ferndale Community and is intended to showcase the many cultures of the students here at the Ferndale Unified School District. We are looking for families to participate and sign up to bring a food dish to share that represents their culture, create a visual display, or participate in a music/dance performance. Applications need to be returned to the school no later than March 15th . This event is open to families in ALL grades! If you would like an application or have any questions, see Ms. Banke.
  4. Juniors: If you are planning on applying to a 4 year college you need to sign up for the SAT or ACT.  If you have questions please see Ms. Banke.
  5. The ASB is selling Valenine’s Day Orange CRUSH Bottles for $3 each. Come to the office and order yours today!!  Crushes will be delivered on Valentine’s Day.
  6. Any Junior boy or girl that would like to apply for Girls/Boys State please get an application from Ms. Banke. This is a nationwide program where students spend the week in a leadership program designed to increase awareness and knowledge of governmental processes while making lifelong friends from around California.  Girls State is located in Los Angelesand Boys State will be in Sacramento both at the end of June.  Applications are due this Friday.
  7. Seniors: New Scholarships:

*California Women In Timber – must have at least a 2.5 GPA, must be going to College of the Redwoods or Humboldt State University studying in forestry or a natural resources related field at a college or university in the state of California. Applications must be postmarked by March 15th

*Humboldt County Farm Bureau App. in the box or online at www.humboldtcountyfarmbureau.com due April 1st

*Redwood Region Logging Conference Scholarship App. in box or online at www.rrlc.net  due April 1st

*Redwood Region Logging Conference Diesel Mechanic & Heavy Equipment Operator Scholarship App. in box or online at www.rrlc.net due April 1st

*Humboldt County Junior Livestock Auction Scholarship App. in box or online at www.humboldtcountyfarmbureau.com due April 1st

*Coast Central Credit Union Scholarship – $5,000 for four years.  Must attend HSU, Shasta or Chico State and need to at least have a C average.  Deadline is March 14th.

*Humboldt County Junior Livestock Scholarship – you must have sold an animal at least 3 times at the Humboldt County Fair – due April 1st

*Redwood Choast Chapter-CA Deer Assn. – To a student seeking a career in AG, Forestry, Wildlife Biology, Vet. Science or Wildlife Law Enforcement. Must have at least a 3.0 CPA – Due April 5th

                             *Mark E. Reed Scholarship-$3000, at least a 3.0 GPA. Due

                               February 28th

                             *Sons & Daughters of Italy Scholarship – due March 1st

                             *Italian Language study grant – if you are planning on studying the

                               Italian langue – due March 1st.
