  1. Homecoming week is this week. Dress up days and schedules are on the back.
  2. Congrats to Alexis Mincks for winning a $12.00 gift certificate to No Brand for having 0 minutes thus far!  Thanks to everyone for keeping a blank slate!
  3. Congratulations to this year’s Homecoming Court: Freshmen: Seth Regli & Alyssa Watkins, Sophomores: Jonas Bramwell & Savannah Lenardo, Juniors: Rex Rolff & Halee Nickols and Seniors: Hunter Barnes & Alexis Mincks, Cody Collings & Makenzie Renner, Ben Wilma & Kyersten Borges and Gio Magdaleno & Bryleigh Busick!!
  4. The Homecoming Dance will be this Saturday, October 6th from 9:00 to midnight at the Town Hall. You can buy pre-sale tickets from Kyersten Borges.  $10 for singles & $15 for couples.
  5. Seniors: There are online scholarships available!!  If you are interested, check them out on the red bulletin board down from Ms. Banke’s office.  Some of the deadlines for these online scholarships are as early as October 15th!!
  6. You must be academically eligible to participate in homecoming activities. This includes lip sync, float, parade and dance.  If you are uncertain of your eligibility (2.0 with no more than one F) check with Mrs. A on Thursday.
  7. Ladies: if you are interested in playing basketball this year, there will be a sign up meeting in the gym on Friday, October 12th at lunch in the gym for both JV and Varsity.
  8. The elementary school is requesting tutors. If anyone would like to tutor an elementary school student please let Ms. Banke know.  If she is not here let the office ladies know.
  9. Local Author J. Lynn Bailey will be here to speak with students about a career in writing Friday, Oct 12th during 2nd period. She has written many popular books~ Black Five (a supernatural story based in Ferndale), Standing Sideways and Peony Red. Please sign up in the office if you would like to attend her presentation.
  10. There is an older gentlemen next door that would like to hire someone to help him do his yard work. His name is Tom Eastman. If you are interested in a little work, call him at 499-6500.
  11. If you received a letter saying you qualified for CSF, please make your $5.00 payment to the office ASAP. Final date to get your payment in is October 18th.

If you are interested there will be a mandatory orientation meeting today at the Cal-Fire Weott Fire Station. You do not have to be 18 years old to take this class.  If you are interested in this class please let Kristy know in the office.

  1. Be sure to be checking your grades, progress reports end this Friday!!
  2. There will be a Leo Club meeting today during lunch in Mr. Chiles’ room.
  3. Boys and girls soccer teams are still looking for players if anyone is still interested.
  4. There is a list on the back of students I still do not have first day packets from. Please get them in to the office ASAP!!
  5. Seniors: Pasta is looking for 2018-2019 reps.  Please write a letter why you think you would be a good rep.  Some of the duties are to help with youth dances, passing information on to your classmates, bake sales etc.  Letters will be due in the office by this Friday, September 21st.
  6. If you received a letter saying you qualified for CSF, please make your $5.00 payment to the office ASAP. Final date to get your payment in is October 18th.
  7. Picture Day will be next Thursday, September 27th. Picture packets will be handed out next week in your English class.
  8. The Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, October 6th from 9:00 to midnight at the Red Barn at the Fairgrounds. You can buy pre-sale tickets from Kyersten Borges.  $10 for singles & $15 for couples.
  9. Seniors: If you would like to run for Homecoming Court, you will need an application from Kyersten or Mrs. Alexandre.  Applications will be due this Friday, September 21st.
