Happy birthday today to Sylvia Daniels! Happy belated birthday over the weekend to Gage Barsanti (Saturday) and Darienne and Irelynn D’Aguanno (Sunday)!!

 

  1. Please release Baseball players after 6th period for their game today and Softball players will be leaving at lunch for their game. Girls, be ready and in the van by 12:30.
  2. There will be a Leo Club meeting tomorrow at lunch in Mr. Chiles’ room.
  3. There is a list of students who still have not turned in their class registration for next year on the back. Get them in ASAP!!
  4. Seniors: If you have a parent that is a disabled veteran, you may be eligible to have your tuition waived. If you think you qualify for this, come to the office for more information.
  5. Seniors: More scholarships available!!
    1. Native Son’s Scholarship: Application is due by today.
    2. Ferndale Lions Club: Application/Transcript/Essay is due by
    3. Amaysing Grace Foundation: For a Senior entering the medical field. Resume and essay due to the office by Tuesday, May 15th.
    4. Elks Lodge Scholarship: Application/Transcript/Letters of Rec./Essay due by Tuesday, May 15th
    5. Luna de Colores: Application/Essay/Transcripts due to the office by Tuesday, June 5th.
  6. Yearbooks are on sale now for $65. Please buy them in the office.
  7. Prom tickets are on sale. You can buy your tickets from Mariela. Tickets are $30 for a single and $50 for a couple.  These are the same prices as last year.  Prices will be raised by $15 at the door, so buy them now!!
  8. Summer Music Camp available for beginning ukulele and beginning guitar up at the OLD Steeple on Berding St. This camp is open for any music lover from 8 to 98 years old.  You can get your registration form online at ferndalemusiccompany.com or call 786-4030. Cost is $125 per student and instruments are not provided. Registration forms are due by June 9th.
  9. If you are interested in being a cheerleader for football next year, please sign up in the office.
  10. You are invited to participate in the first- ever USA Drive (Underwear, Socks and Accessories) that will run the entire month of April. All items will be donated to the Humboldt County District Attorney Victim Witness Program.  For reasons of safety, many families are forced to flee their homes with only the clothing on their backs.  The items collected will be distributed discreetly to the victims to protect the identity of the clients.  All sizes are needed: newborn to adult.  Donation/Collection bins will be located in the main entrance by the office.  If you have any questions or need more information please contact Lexi Miranda at nmiranda@co.humboldt.ca.us.
  11. Soccer players, Volleyball players, Football players and basketball players, if you have not yet turned in your uniforms to your coaches, please bring them to Mr. McClurg so he can check your name off.
  12. Be sure to pay your woodshop bills if you haven’t already. There is a list on the back of students who still owe. See Kristy in the office to pay.

  14. Teachers: Progress reports end this Friday.  Portal will open this Friday, May 4th and close next Wednesday, May 9th.
