Happy birthday today to Sylvia Daniels! Happy belated birthday over the weekend to Gage Barsanti (Saturday) and Darienne and Irelynn D’Aguanno (Sunday)!!

 

  1. Please release Baseball players after 6th period for their game today and Softball players will be leaving at lunch for their game. Girls, be ready and in the van by 12:30.
  2. There will be a Leo Club meeting tomorrow at lunch in Mr. Chiles’ room.
  3. There is a list of students who still have not turned in their class registration for next year on the back. Get them in ASAP!!
  4. Seniors: If you have a parent that is a disabled veteran, you may be eligible to have your tuition waived. If you think you qualify for this, come to the office for more information.

Summer Music Camp available for beginning ukulele and beginning guitar up at the OLD Steeple on Berding St. This camp is open for any music lover from 8 to 98 years old.  You can get your registration form online at ferndalemusiccompany.com or call 786-4030. Cost is $125 per student and instruments are not provided. Registration forms are due by June 9th.
  9. If you are interested in being a cheerleader for football next year, please sign up in the office.
  10. You are invited to participate in the first- ever USA Drive (Underwear, Socks and Accessories) that will run the entire month of April. All items will be donated to the Humboldt County District Attorney Victim Witness Program.  For reasons of safety, many families are forced to flee their homes with only the clothing on their backs.  The items collected will be distributed discreetly to the victims to protect the identity of the clients.  All sizes are needed: newborn to adult.  Donation/Collection bins will be located in the main entrance by the office.  If you have any questions or need more information please contact Lexi Miranda at nmiranda@co.humboldt.ca.us.

  3. On May 3rd, the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation is hosting a special Hospital Day for high achieving juniors and seniors with an interest in a future in medicine. The event goes from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and it will include a hospital tour, a luncheon with specialists from the hospital and community and an opportunity to “gown up” and step into a working operating room to hear about the different roles in surgery.  If you are interested in this event, please sign up in the office.  If you have any other questions see Ms. Banke.

“No Winter lasts forever and no Spring skips its turn.”

 

  1. On May 3rd, the St. Joseph Hospital is hosting a special Hospital Day for graduating seniors with an interest in a future in medicine. It will go from 10:00 -3:00 and will include a hospital tour with focused looks into the Cath Lab, Hospital Pharmacy, ICU, Emergency Department, Radiation Oncology, Hospital Lab and surgical services. There will be a luncheon where specialist who will be talking about their jobs and their journey into medicine.  If you have any questions or are interested please see Tina.
  2. Tomorrow there will be a birthday lunch for all students who have birthdays in the months of December through April.  So if your birthday is in any of these months, come have free pizza in the Art Room at lunch.
  3. Spring Week is this week. Dress up days are below.
  4. If you are interested in being a cheerleader for football next year, please sign up in the office.
  5. You are invited to participate in the first- ever USA Drive (Underwear, Socks and Accessories) that will run the entire month of April. All items will be donated to the Humboldt County District Attorney Victim Witness Program.  For reasons of safety, many families are forced to flee their homes with only the clothing on their backs.  The items collected will be distributed discreetly to the victims to protect the identity of the clients.  All sizes are needed: newborn to adult.  Donation/Collection bins will be located in the main entrance by the office.  If you have any questions or need more information please contact Lexi Miranda at nmiranda@co.humboldt.ca.us.
  6. Spring Break will be next week, April 16th through 20th.
  7. Yearbooks are on sale now!! Buy your yearbook for $55 in the office.  The price will raise to $65 after Spring Break!!
  8. Soccer players, Volleyball players, Football players and basketball players, if you have not yet turned in your uniforms to your coaches, please bring them to Mr. McClurg so he can check your name off.
  9. Seniors: Be sure to check the scholarship box in the office.  New scholarships are added frequently.
  10. Be sure to pay your woodshop bills in the office if you haven’t already.
