  1. Next Tuesday, March 6th the Winter Sports Banquet will be held at the Ferndale Community Center @ 6:30 p.m. This is a pot luck dinner.  Parents of athletes are asked to bring a hot dish and a salad.  You will also need to bring your own table settings.  Booster Club will provide drinks, rolls and dessert.  Be sure to let your family know!! Any questions see Kristy.
  2. Junior boys and girls: If you are interested in applying for Girls or Boys state see Tina.  Boys State is June 16th – 23rd in Sacramento and Girls State is June 25th  – 30th in Claremont, CA.  Let Tina know if you are interested by
  3. Students interested in Butte College’s Heavy Equipment Program there will be a representative from the program here on Friday, March 9th. We are not sure of the time yet but if you are interested in learning about the program please sign up in the office.
  4. McKinleyville Parks and Recreation will be having their annual 3 on 3 basketball tournament on March 23rd & 24th in McKinleyville. The tournament is open to boys and girls in 3rd through 12th  Divisions are by grade and gender.  Put your teams together because registration is now open. Registration materials can be picked up at the McKinleyville Parks and Recreation office, you can download forms online @ www.mckinleyvillecsd.com or register online @ rec.mckinleyvillecsd.com.  Registration fee is $140 per team and the deadline is Friday, March 16th.  If you have any question call McKinleyville Parks and Recreation at 839-9003.
  5. Seniors: Be sure to check the scholarship box in the office.  New scholarships are added frequently.
  6. Be sure to pay your woodshop bills in the office if you haven’t already.
  7. On March 29th @ HSU there will be Raza Day. It is a day where all Latino students of any grade can learn more about college and how to enroll.  There are sign ups in the office.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Giacone.

  1. The following tennis players will be leaving at lunch today for their match in Del Norte: Colson Renner, Ben Gomes, Jonas Bramwell, Dominic Regli and Ben Wilma.

Do you have prom dresses or shoes that no longer serve you a purpose?  If you answered yes to either of these questions, the Prom Exchange Party is the place for you!!  Tomorrow join us in the Fortuna High School Library from 10:30 – 12:00 for the 2nd Annual Prom Exchange Party! There will be prom dresses, shoes, tuxedo rentals, flowers and hair and nail appointments, not to mention TONS of incredible raffle prizes!  The party will be a one-stop-shop for all students for prom!  If you would like to donate a dress to receive 2 raffle tickets to Ferndale’s Prom, bring them to Mrs. Alexandre by today!
